About 5 years ago I decided to take the Reiki 1 Attunement. I really cannot say exactly how I came to make this decision, only that I felt drawn to doing something worthwhile and healing myself and perhaps others all came into it. At that time I felt that I would only be healing myself and perhaps a few friends but then along came the animals and they would not be ignored!

I decided to take my Reiki 2 Attunement with a Master who was more in tune with animals, particularly horses, and so I found myself in deepest Wiltshire with Jan Barley, who at a later date went on to attune me to Master level. I felt Jan understood where I was coming from and she taught me many things. I now teach and attune Reiki students, an occupation that I find inspiring and worthwhile.

Two years ago I felt I wanted to add to the Reiki healing. I had heard that Shiatsu was a very good sister therapy to Reiki and so made inquiries and found myself booked on a two-year Equine Shiatsu course with Jill Blake at her school in West Sussex. Jill trained with Pamela Hannay who pioneered Equine Shiatsu and brought it to the UK. I now practice as a fully qualified Equine Shiatsu Practitioner.
