Skippy

skippy

Skippy's behaviour problems started a month after I bought her and quickly deteriorated to the point where I could no longer cope. She was napping severely and would buck and rear seemingly without motive. With all possible sources of pain eliminated it became clear that she was reacting to past experiences, but without a common trigger for her outbursts I quickly began to struggle.

With my confidence at an all time low, I decided to send her away for a few weeks of traditional schooling but despite the kindness and patience of the people at the yard she continued to behave unmanageably and it was decided to turn her away for a year of peace and quiet to see if she could forget whatever trauma had occurred.

Having researched alternative pathways for Skippy I came across Jane's website and arranged a visit. Skippy found her first session uneasy, most likely due to the new sensations, however she was also clearly more relaxed afterwards and with continuing sessions she has become more and more balanced and undoubtedly thoroughly enjoys her sessions!

Jane's therapy has been used in conjunction with an Iridology consultation, where there was an amazing overlap between the two independent diagnoses and she has recently been restarted using Parelli based methods and ridden in a bitless bridle. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jane's work and can't thank her enough for her patience, kindness and understanding - I honestly don't think Skippy could have achieved all she has recently without her help!

Happy

My horse 'Happy-Go-Lucky' has a few problems; one of them is that he is polydypsic. This means that he drinks between 50-70 litres of water daily, two and a half times more than a horse of his size should drink. He has been thoroughly examined and no cause can be found, so it is likely to be psychogenic. Although this did not bother him, it made his box very wet and he would often flood the yard as well. When Jane first treated Happy she did say it may get worse before it got better. It did! Happy drank two full bath loads of water in the field the next day. The following days however he improved greatly and although he is still a wet horse, he no longer floods the yard.

Happy sustained a very serious tendon injury in November. Jane treated him for this on a regular basis through his six months of box rest. During this time most people were afraid to even enter his stable as confinement does not agree with him. However he thoroughly enjoyed his treatments and when he came sound, even the vet seemed a little surprised.

Thank you Jane for all your support and help.
